From the moment you find out you’re pregnant for the first time, a brand new world of thoughts and concerns opens up–what kind of diapers are best, who sells the cutest burp cloths, is that blanket hypoallergenic? For first time mothers, it can all be a little overwhelming. Many moms-to-be wonder how many bottles to have on hand for their baby. We’re here to get to the bottom of it!
According to Baby Center, the number of bottle you’ll need range from “four to 12,” depending on if you’ll be primarily bottle feeding or breastfeeding. Typically, it’s best to start with 4-ounce bottles and move to 8 or 9 ounce bottles at around 4 months “or whenever your baby’s growing appetite makes bigger bottles more practical.”
For formula feeding, the number of bottles you’ll need will vary on how often you’ll have the energy to wash and sterilize the bottles and if you plan on preparing bottles in advance or just as needed. For more information and a lengthier discussion, head over to our source.
