How Are Fitness Trackers Being Used to Help Children with Cerebral Palsy?

Researchers at Queensland University of Technology in Australia are experimenting with using fitness trackers to track activity in children with cerebral palsy. The researchers are interested in knowing exactly how many calories children with cerebral palsy burn during play. To collect the data, researchers are hooking children ages 3-5 years old up with the latest state-of-the-art fitness tracking equipment and observing children with cerebral palsy as they play for a period of 20 minutes. This information is useful for tracking health, especially after a surgery.
